"[Pocket Guide] This is one of the most useful tools we have for educating current staff and physicians as well as our new residents. With each orientation each of them is given a guide for their pockets or clip boards. Preceptors review it with orientees and our policy of screening and vaccinating all eligible patients has risen dramatically. I can't tell you how invaluable these guides are for concise, accurate information at a glance. No one will take the time to look all that up or go to another source. Please continue with both of these guides!"

Just thought you would like to know I used the Shots for Babies handout AGAIN today at a library program and provided the parents with the web address so they could read stories about children with vaccine-preventable diseases… Those stories are the only way I have to bring home the reality of vaccine-preventable disease since most parents do not think these diseases exist any more…[later] And I used the Shots for Babies AGAIN at another library today. One mother commented, 'Why can’t my pediatrician make it simple like this!' How’s that for a testimonial!!”

"Just thought you would like a little feedback on the wonderful school nurse letter the IAC has [What if you don't immunize your child?]. A local school nurse found a letter on the web that she wanted to give to parents who take religious exemptions. It was quite strongly worded and to me seemed threatening. I suggested the school nurses look at the IAC letter. WOW, was it well received!! Gets the point across with a much softer tone, not intimidating at all, while still clearly points out consequences of not immunizing. On behalf of the school nurses in Suffolk County, New York, thanks so much for all you do to help the nurses get children immunized."

Thank you for making it so easily available. I have been in staff development for 18 years and have used many videos to augment learning experiences. This is one of the gems, incredible quality.  Thank you so much for providing a cutting edge service. You are the first place I look for information on vaccine issues."

"Thank you for your quick response to my e-mail. I really appreciate it and your help. As I said before, your site has been a huge benefit not only to me, but to my colleagues as well. You would not believe how many printouts I have taken to my supervisor and had approved to hand out to numerous private providers throughout the state. Parent education is a huge downfall in many practices, and the sooner we can get the doctors, nurses and other staff members to understand this and do something about it... the better! And believe it or not, giving invalid doses is an issue too. That's where the Summary of Rules comes into play. There is no reason for a nurse or MA not to know the minimal intervals between vaccines, along with everything else. And your chart couldn't be easier to read and understand... I thank you again for your help and generosity."
M.A., Indianapolis, IN, April 16, 2001

F.N., Albert Einstein Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, Philadelphia, PA, May 9, 2001
