We have a healthy 20-year-old patient who had a history of chickenpox disease. They now have shingles even though they have no known immunocompromising condition. Should we administer Shingrix after they recover?

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice (ACIP) does not recommend zoster vaccination for immunocompetent people younger than age 50 years regardless of their history of shingles.
