not." The booklet has two major changes from the previous edition: the removal of
rotavirus vaccine and the inclusion of the new pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV7).
To order copies of the guide, complete NIP's online order form at: https://www2.cdc.gov/nchstp_od/PIWeb/niporderform.htm

JAMA OFFERS PATIENT EDUCATION PIECE ON RABIES
The "Journal of the American Medical Association" (JAMA) offers a new patient education piece titled "Rabies" in its
issue dated August 23/30, 2000. Written in clear, nontechnical language, this education piece describes what
rabies is and how it is transmitted, what people should do if they suspect they've been exposed, and resources to turn
to for further information.
Every issue of JAMA features a patient education article on its back page. These education pieces may be reproduced
noncommercially by physicians and other health professionals to share with patients.
To view this resource online in camera-ready (PDF) format, go to: http://jama.ama-assn.org/issues/v284n8/fpdf/jpg0823.pdf
