accounts, and case reports of people who died or suffered from vaccine-preventable
diseases. These same stories are now on our new web page, "UNPROTECTED PEOPLE:
Stories of people who have suffered or died from vaccine-preventable diseases." Click
here http://www.immunize.org/stories/
to visit "UNPROTECTED PEOPLE." And remember! We need your stories, media
accounts, and case reports to help promote vaccination of all people of all ages against
all vaccine-preventable diseases. Please send them to deborah@immunize.org or click

FREE FOR THE ASKING! BULK COPIES OF "NEEDLE TIPS" AND "VACCINATE
ADULTS!"
Do you want a free box of our newsletters, "NEEDLE TIPS" or "VACCINATE
ADULTS?" We're giving away bulk copies of the spring/summer 1998 issues to make room
for the fall/winter 98/99 issues.
These publications are still hot! They contain lots of up-to-date immunization
information. If you have an immunization conference or meeting coming up, "NEEDLE
TIPS" and "VACCINATE ADULTS!" are great handouts.
Need convincing? Read this message we received from Kay Cobb, Immunization Liaison,
Spokane Regional Health District, Spokane, WA:
"We have a field facilitator who will begin visiting MD offices with a provider
manual. She will bring along all sorts of helpful materials as well -- "Pink
Books," posters, schedules, your "Summary of Rules for Childhood Immunization,
and your "Summary of Recommendations for Adult Immunization" etc. It would be so
great to be able to give each office a copy of "NEEDLE TIPS." Some offices
probably have never seen it. What a cool opportunity!"
Convinced? Good! With your request, please include a brief description of how they will be
used. When requesting copies, remember that "NEEDLE TIPS" is a 28-page
publication for health professionals who see children, adolescents, and/or adults, and
"VACCINATE ADULTS!" (an abbreviated version of "NEEDLE TIPS") is a
12-page publication for health professionals who provide health care services for adults.
To request your copies (or if you have additional questions) e-mail us at
admin@immunize.org or click here: mailto:admin@immunize.org.
Quantities are limited to 500 per person. Our phone number is 651/647-9009.

NEED HELP EDUCATING ASIAN AMERICANS ABOUT HEPATITIS B?
We have combined three items that promote vaccination campaigns in Asian communities into
one big $10 package (we've reduced the price from $45)! While the supplies last, you'll
get a package that contains two videos, one slide set, a manual, and much more. Here's
what you get when you order our "APIA Package":
1. "Work together and "catch-up" the children," a video and
"how-to" manual for vaccinating Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA)
children against hepatitis B produced by H.A.P.I.
Kids, San Diego, CA.
2. APIA hepatitis B "catch up" demonstration materials from several U.S.
demonstration projects.
3. Hepatitis B training materials for APIA bilingual workers (video, slide set, and
reference manual) to train health educators to give presentations to API communities.
These training materials were created by the Immunization Action Coalition in 1993.
To order the "APIA Package," send your check for $10 to the Immunization Action
Coalition, 1573 Selby Avenue, #234, St. Paul, MN 55104. Make sure you include the complete
