released by ACIP and HICPAC ---------------------------------------------------------------- January 8, 1998 CDC'S NEW IMMUNIZATION GUIDELINES FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS RELEASED On December 26, 1997, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the Hospital Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee released "Immunization of Health Care Workers," a joint statement that summarizes their immunization recommendations for health care workers. These recommendations can assist hospital administrators, infection control practitioners,employee health physicians, and health care workers in optimizing infection prevention and control programs.
