6. What's Your State Doing? - documentation of which states have hepatitis B vaccination laws for daycare, kindergarten, and/or middle school entry along with implementation dates. Also included is a letter from U.S. Congressman Joe Moakley  encouraging states to pass laws that will help protect schoolchildren from hepatitis B.

8. Revised! "Summary of Rules for Childhood Immunization" This table combines the recommendations for childhood immunization onto one page. It now includes guidelines for the use of rotavirus vaccine.

9. NEW FROM CDC! Rotavirus Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) - Interim. This Rotavirus VIS was released on March 26th by CDC and carries the date of March 23, 1999, at the bottom. This is the MOST CURRENT VERSION of the Rotavirus VIS. The copy you will find in your mailed issue of NEEDLE TIPS on pages 11-12 contains the Rotavirus VIS dated 12/1/98. At the time NEEDLE TIPS went to press, this was the most current Rotavirus VIS available. Make sure to use the most current VIS dated 3/23/99.

10. "What Would Happen If We Stopped Vaccinations?" Use this article, provided by the National Immunization Program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to convince people about the  importance of vaccination.
